I'm on the Night Train!

It's finally done! I've finished it, and here it is, my cover of Nightrain by Guns N Roses, and my first time trying Multi-Track recording. I have 3 tracks in this cover, 1 Track for Izzy, biased 30% to the left, 1 Track for Slash, biased 30% to the right, and 1 track for extra FXs, smack center, which you'll know when you hear it. Put on your headphones, and less talk, more rock!

Audacious!

So I was trying to put together a nice little music track to put on this post. It was all going so well too, I just finished putting it together in Audacity and recording the little 'Extra' bits to play over the existing tracks, and I was doing the final master, just making some parts a bit louder, and some parts a bit softer, etc. Just as I was amplifying a short portion of a track, Audacity crashed. AUDACITY CRASHED. AUDACITY CRASHED.

I just sat there in shock for awhile. I didn't save my progress at any point. D:

I'm trying some recovery tools, but it's not helping very much... It doesn't preserve the channels, tracks, or even the sequence. Looks like I'll have to rerecord it... my poor fingers.

my post editor seems to be screwing up. i don't get to format or add images etc. ah well

anyway, we went jamming today. marion, keith, kenneth and I. was okay. wasted alot of time until kenneth arrived late. jammed like 1 and a half song and we had to leave. haha.

though after that we went to the nearby subway for dinner. was fun. keith kenneth and marion seem to click really well. i think they were talking something about pigs or something. i was zoning out. worrying about work haha. though things are coming together nicely. apart from multicam being really really rushed, everything else seems to be coming together okay.

wanted to post about something else here but i completely forgot what. i hate it when that happens. anyway. its night time for me and i'm headed to bed. haveat.

tastes

its been awhile. so whats new: nothing. i have not been doing anything much. i just finished harry potter's books 6 and 7, after re-reading books 1-5. its a great series, can't wait for the movie.

Marion's 18 too, and now she's in Spain on holiday. that means i won't be seeing much of her until the 26th, maybe plan something nice on the 27th. haha

i've found a recent gravitation towards blues rock in my musical endeavours, nice 12 bar blues improvisation. with some of my own variations. pretty fun. good stuff.

thats about it for now, till i can think of something special. haha.

Well, i hope you guys are hyped up about it, because i am. but i got bad news. we've got to postpone it to the 15th of november. so the halloween party will happen two weeks after halloween. uh. yeah. and at the same time we'll be celebrating not one, but 2 birthdays at the party as well. care to guess?

halloween party this year. we need this. it'll be at my place. this is my idea.

the theme is MUSIC. let me explain.

i want to see people dress up as KISS, i want steven tyler in the house. i want an old bald guy in a bikini carrying a plastic baby doing drugs thinking (s)he can still sing. i want a emo punk rocker in the house. like. like. you'll come to my place dressed as a punk rock superstar. doesnt even need to be a real celebrity, just clearly defined dressing as part of a certain genre. PROPS ARE ENCOURAGED. mikestands, gold markers for autographs, guitars, razors for your wrists, plastic babies, drum sticks, etc. like picture this.
